FLOWER FRIDAY!

With the New Year well underway I have decided to start FLOWER FRIDAY: introducing a British grown flower or foliage each Friday! This year my goal is to support more local farms and growers and I encourage each and everyone of you to do the same. I hope that this weekly blog post will open your eyes to all the beautiful blooms that grow right here in Britain and possibly outside your front door!! Each week I will highlight a flower or foliage that is currently in season with photos and a few facts about each. Next time you are in the grocery store look out for the "Proudly British" label, Union Jack flag and/or "British Grown" label like the ones below!

*I appreciate some of you are based elsewhere in the world, so I challenge those who are to also look at the label and buy home grown and local when and where possible!*
